Disney World® Resort is commonly referred to as the “happiest place on Earth”. While we all love the magic and wonder that comes with a trip to Disney World, it can sometimes be a little overwhelming, especially for first-timers. That’s why we think everyone, young and old alike, should plan a rest day for their trip to “the world”. Here are 3 Reasons You Should Plan a Rest Day On Your Next Disney World® Resort Vacation:
Sure, you rest while you’re sleeping in your resort room each night. Or, while enjoying a fun character meal, or a Mickey Bar break on a park bench, but we think you should plan a whole day dedicated to rest. Most guests find themselves walking far more each day. That’s more than most of us, especially the younger ones, are used to. Some of our favorite rest-day activities include lounging by our resort pool and grounds, sleeping in, or checking out the Senses Spa at the Grand Floridian. Trust us, your feet will thank you later!
Did you know that most Walt Disney World® Resort vacation packages include “Magical Extras”? This currently includes vouchers for a round of mini golf, vouchers for admission to ESPN Wide World of Sports, as well a discounts on bowling, dining and shopping. You’ve already paid for it, why not take advantage?!
Disney Springs has become a destination all it’s own. Recently reimagined, this area, formerly known as “Downtown Disney”, has undergone major changes over the last 5+ years. Upscale dining, shopping, and entertainment abound in Disney Springs. Disney is constantly adding and reimagining this area, so we think you should check it out on every trip. Admission is free, and there is no shortage of activities here!
