3 Steps to Plan a Disney World and Cruise Vacation

“I need a vacation from my vacation...” The phrase rings true from anyone just returning home from a vacation. There’s the enormous load of laundry to do, bills to catch up on, and more. However— what if there was a way to take a vacation from your vacation!! This past summer I figured out how to make it happen with a family of four! Read my 3 Steps to Plan a Disney World and Cruise Vacation!

Step 1 - Plan a Disney World and Cruise Vacation with a Travel Planner

Plan your trip to Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise with your favorite Royal Treatment Travel travel planner. The best way to do this is to plan your Walt Disney World stay in conjunction with a Disney Cruise. This past summer, we made sure to hop on to the Disney Dream for a 3 night Bahamian Cruise after visiting Walt Disney World in Orlando.

There are many people that like to visit the parks and cruise, but I highly recommend visiting the parks at Disney World before cruising. Park hopping, managing the different modes of transportation, and making sure you get to your next Fast Pass may be exciting, but not necessarily relaxing! In my husband’s words, Disney World is a fun adventure not necessarily a relaxing vacation.

Step 2 -Laundry

As you get closer to your cruise date at the parks, set aside some time to actually do laundry. We found this to be especially helpful so that we had fresh clean clothes for everyone for the cruise! It’s much nicer going on a cruise with a suitcase full of fresh clothes! All the resorts have laundry facilities, and they even have the option to text you when the clothes are finished! You can pay for the laundry soap and dryer sheets there! Super convenient! Learn more here!

Step 3 - Cruise Line Transfer

The night before your cruise, Bell Services will leave an information sheet in your resort room letting you know the time that the Disney raise Line transfer (additional booking with Disney Cruise Line) will arrive. On the morning of your cruise, you leave your bags in your resort room, and Bell Services will come to pick it up. You can utilize your morning how you want— we ran into Magic Kingdom to cash out of our snack credits, but you could reserve a character breakfast! Just return in time to your resort main lobby to meet the Disney Cruise Line Cast Member, and off you go!

Disney Cruise Line is phenomenal and extremely relaxing. Even on a three-night cruise, we were able to unwind, enjoy the amazing food and shows, and relax. Not to mention, the kids were able to explore the Oceaneers Club and It’s a Small World Nursery giving the adults time for a couples’ massage!!
