Layout Of The Walt Disney World Moderate Resorts

The layout of Walt Disney World Moderate Resorts varies on the specific resort. In general, most of the resorts are rather large in property size. Some are so large that they even use an internal bus system!

Almost all of the Moderate Resorts are comprised of multiple buildings that house the Guest rooms. With only one exception, all of the Guest rooms open to the outdoors. (The exception to this is the Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. The rooms within the Tower open to an interior hallway.)

Dining Options At The Walt Disney World Moderate Resorts

Walt Disney World Moderate Resorts are a perfect mix between the Value and Deluxe Resorts. Perhaps one of the best reflections of this idea is the dining options found at each!

All of the Moderate Resorts have a cafeteria-style quick-service restaurant, similar to those found at the Value Resorts. They also all have at least 1 table-service restaurant located on their resort property – or super close-by at their sister resort in the case of Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. Bars can also be found at these properties!

Recreation Options At Walt Disney World Moderate Resorts

The recreation found at the Walt Disney World Moderate Resorts vary based on the resort. There are a few staples that they all have in common, such as:

Pools with water slides
Campfire activities (such as roasting marshmallows)
Movies under the stars

Amenities At Walt Disney World Moderate Resorts

There are so many amenities that await Guests who are staying at a Walt Disney World Moderate Resort hotel. These can vary depending on the resort, but Guests can expect some form of complimentary transportation to and from the theme parks and Disney Springs. Transportation could possibly be a bus, a boat, or the Disney Skyliner and is resort specific.

For those Guests who have a car with them, self-parking is available – for a fee.

Other amenities that can be found at the Moderate Resorts include complimentary Wi-Fi, housekeeping service, and self-service laundry rooms.

As you can see, the Moderate Resorts at Walt Disney World are a great choice for those who want something with more amenities and recreational offerings than a Value Resort, but not something quite at the price point of a Deluxe Resort. These resorts are perfect for those who will be spending some of their time at their resort, enjoying all that it has to offer!
