How To Ride Guardians Of The Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is the newest ride opening at Walt Disney World Resort. Families will be able to find this brand-new ride in EPCOT. There are several special things to note about Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind:
This is the first Disney coaster to ever have a reverse-launch.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is one of the largest fully-enclosed coasters in the world.
Walt Disney Imagineering dreamed up a new innovation – this coaster rotates 360 degrees.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will open on May 27. Guests eager to experience this attraction have several options available to them. A standby queue will not be available when this attraction opens. Guests will have to either purchase a return time or use the virtual queue to ride.

Individual Lightning Lane
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will be available as an Individual Lightning Lane purchase. Guests can reserve a return time using the My Disney Experience app. Guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort Hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and Shades of Green may make their purchase beginning at 7 AM on the day of their visit. All other Guests can make their return time purchase when the park opens. Individual Lightning Lane purchases are subject to availability.
Virtual Queue
Guests can join the virtual queue for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind using the My Disney Experience app. The virtual queue can only be entered once per day during regular park hours. Guests also must have valid admission and a theme park reservation to use the virtual queue. The virtual queue will be available at two times each day:
7 AM – Guests do not need to be in the park to join, but they must have a valid theme park reservation for EPCOT
1 PM – Guests MUST be in EPCOT to join this virtual queue
Extended Evening Hours
Guests staying at a Disney Deluxe Resort, Disney Deluxe Villa Resort, or other select hotels will be able to take advantage of a third special virtual queue time. Another virtual queue will be available at 6 PM to these Guests on select dates during extended evening theme park hours. Guests do NOT need to be in EPCOT to join this virtual queue. However, they will require valid admission and a theme park reservation for EPCOT on the same day as the Extended Evening Hours. Guests who have a ticket or Annual Pass with Park Hopper option do not require a theme park reservation for EPCOT as long as they first enter the park they have a reservation for.
