Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Dates Announced

Walt Disney World Resort is home to special events throughout the year.  One of the most beloved special events is Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.  The last time this party took place was in 2019.  During the pandemic, Disney After Hours Boo Bash took its place.  This special event had many similarities to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, but at the end of the day it was not the same thing.  Well, Walt Disney World Resort recently made an announcement that is sure to make everyone happy.  Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will make its return in 2022!

What's In Store For 2022?

What exactly makes this special event so amazing?  I’m glad you asked!  Check out some of the fun in store for 2022.

  • “Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade” will make its return and include the Headless Horseman riding his horse down Main Street, U.S.A.  This parade features many floats complete with Disney Characters dressed up in their Halloween costumes, Disney villains, and the Haunted Mansion graveyard diggers.

  • Trick-or-Treating - and you don’t have to be a child to get in on this fun!  Guests are able to trick-or-treat at select locations throughout Magic Kingdom Park. 

  • Guests trick-or-treating will receive a reusable trick-or-treat bag featuring a keepsake 50th Anniversary celebration and Halloween design.

  • Winifred, Sarah, and Mary Sanderson will be making their appearance during the “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular” stage show at Cinderella Castle.

  • Disney characters dressed for Halloween will be spotted around the Magic Kingdom Park.

  • The Halloween-themed overlays will be returning to Space Mountain, Mad Tea Party, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Monster’s Inc. Laugh Floor.

  • Jack Skellington will be back and hosting “Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular”.  This nighttime show features projections, special effects, fireworks, music, and Disney characters.

  • New3D photo backdrops will be added this year in celebration of the 50th Anniversary.

  • Guests will receive a Halloween-themed 50th Anniversary celebration commemorative print.

  • Many Guest favorite rides and attractions will be operating during the party.

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Dates

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will begin on August 12, 2022. This special event will take place in Magic Kingdom Park on 37 select nights through October 31, 2022.  Special event hours will be from 7 p.m. to midnight.  The dates Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will be taking place is listed below.

  • August: 12, 16, 19, 23, 26, 30

  • September: 2, 5, 9, 11, 13, 16, 18, 20, 23, 25, 27, 29, 30

  • October: 2, 4, 6, 7, 10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 18, 20, 21, 23, 25, 27, 28, 30, 31

Tickets can be purchased online beginning on May 12, 2022 for Guests of Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, and Shades of Green at Walt Disney World Resort.  Tickets will become available to the general public on May 18, 2022.
