I recently had the opportunity to spend a day at the newly refurbished and unbelievably beautiful Sandals Royal Bahamian in Nassau. This resort is stunning and has some really unique features!

Let’s start with the best…. Food!

Dining

Sandals Royal Bahamian boasts 10 dining options in addition to 2 (soon to be 3) food trucks! Seafood, Italian, Oriental, and Caribbean are just a few of the food options available. The buffet is the best “buffet” I’ve ever had! The tasty Mimosa was also a great addition to breakfast!

Drinks

There are 8 bars, including 3 Swim Up bars. There’s nothing much better than floating in a sparkling pool with a fun drink in your hand!

Rooms

Sandals Royal Bahamian has 404 rooms in 13 different categories. Want a Swim Up? No problem. Want the amazing extra service from a butler? Done! Want them both? Even better! There are room categories for a multitude of budgets and desires.

Private Island

Sandals Royal Bahamian is the only resort in the Bahamas with its own private island: Barefoot Cay Island. A boat will take you over to this spectacular private island, which has plenty of sand, sun, fun, food, drinks, and even spa services!

Activities

You can participate in unlimited land sports, unlimited Scuba diving for those certified, unlimited snorkeling, paddle boating, kayaks, water trikes, and more! Need your daily workout? No worries! There is a large fitness center available and plenty of classes available as well. Take a swim in one of the 2 pools, which are 10,000 square feet in total!

Relaxation

Visit the Red Lane Spa, one of the whirlpools, one of the saunas, or one of the steam rooms! Your stress will melt away!

The layout of the beach is probably one of the best I’ve seen: a quiet, calm cove on one side, and waves with plenty of action for kayaking on the other. The sand was unbelievably soft, the water clear, blue, and holding all of the jewel tones expected in the Bahamas. I can’t wait to spend more time at this exquisite resort!!
