The Disney Skyliner
Maybe I am showing my age, but remember the Skyway that used to connect Tomorrowland and Fantasyland? Well, in 2019 Disney is putting a new spin on it. This fall, “The Disney Skyliner” will be making round trips to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios from several Disney resorts. You will be able to board a gondola from the Art of Animation Resort, Pop Century, or the Caribbean Beach Resort at the new Skyliner stations currently being built. I am so excited for this alternative to riding a bus and I am sure there will be some breathtaking views!
Saying “Farewell" to IllumiNations: Reflections of the Earth
One of my favorite memories of Walt Disney World was having my children see IllumiNations for the first time. We were lucky enough to have an amazing cast member sit next to us and explain the whole story. After 20 years, it’s time to say "Goodbye". Don’t miss your chance to see this amazing show and don’t be afraid to ask a Cast Member to tell you the story of IllumiNations: Reflections of the Earth.
Mickey and Minnie’s Surprise Celebration
In November we celebrated Mickey Mouse's 90th birthday! Starting January 18th, Magic Kingdom is honoring the big milestone with special entertainment, merchandise, and specialty food and beverages. You can also meet Mickey and Minnie in their new birthday outfits in the Town Square Theater!
30th Anniversary of Hollywood Studios
There has been a lot of changes to The Studios since it opened May 1, 1989. They will be celebrating in a big way with a new nighttime show on May 1st..."The Wonderful World of Animation” will take you on a magical journey through Disney Animation. Starting January 18th, the Incredibles will be hosting a dance party over on Pixar Ave and there will be some great opportunities to meet some of the other Pixar Characters as well.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
We have been peeking over the walls and checking out models and it is nearly here! We will be entering the world of George Lucas in a BIG way over in Hollywood Studios. You will be able to pilot the Millennium Falcon and Live Your own Star Wars Adventure helping the Resistance. So dust off your Jedi Robes, tighten up those buns, and don’t forget to add batteries to those Light Sabers!!! This is the year we travel to a Galaxy Far, Far Away!!
