Walt Disney World Reopening
We have all been waiting for the Walt Disney World® Resort Reopening date! Walt Disney World and Sea World Orlando presented their reopening plans to the Orange County's Economic Recovery Task Force today and included the theme park operators' proposed reopening dates. Sea World plans to open to the general public on June 11th, while Walt Disney World announced their parks reopening date of July 11th. Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom parks will be the first to open on July 11th, followed by Hollywood Studios and Epcot on July 15th.
Walt Disney World's reopening proposal has safety guidelines and sanitation procedures that will be in place for guests and Cast Members to include:
Parks will require advance reservations to limit capacity.
Parades and fireworks will not take place.
Masks will be required for all guests.
Distance character Meet and Greets.
Additional hand washing and hand sanitizing stations will be available.
Temperature checks for guests and Cast Members.
Cashless procedures at all retail stores.
Additional signage and Cast Members enforcing social distancing.
For the parks to reopen, Governor DeSantis must also approve the proposals.
