Disney Cruise Line Face Mask Policy Update
The Disney Cruise Line currently requires all guests, ages 2 and up, to wear face coverings indoors. The Disney Cruise Line mandated this requirement a few months ago. This was in response to the increasing COVID-19 cases at the time. The policy has applied regardless of vaccination status.
One of the things we have come to learn during the pandemic is that mandates and requirements can change at any time. For example, both Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resorts have made quite a few changes to their policies over the past few years. The most recent changes make face masks not required for fully vaccinated guests.
The Disney Cruise Line will soon be following the examples set forth by the theme parks. Face coverings on the Disney Cruise Line will become optional in most indoor locations throughout the ships beginning on March 11!

What Does The Disney Cruise Line Policy Update State?
The updated policy is effective beginning on March 11. It states that masking is optional in most indoor locations throughout the ships, with the following exceptions :
Guests ages 2 and up will be required to wear face coverings in the Walt Disney Theatre. This is required regardless of vaccination status.
Guests under 5 who are currently ineligible to be vaccinated will be required to wear face coverings in Youth Activities spaces and in the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.

Guests are reminded that face coverings may be required in some areas outside of the ship. These include areas such as:
Certain ports of call based on local government requirements, including certain areas of Disney Castaway Cay
Inside cruise terminals during the boarding and screening process
During disembarkation
Hopefully we will see more and more of these requirements removed as time goes on!
