Important Hawaii Update You Need To Know
I have great news for anyone who has been wanting to travel to Hawaii. Traveling to Hawaii will become so much easier in the not-too-distant future. Domestic travelers will no longer have to complete the COVID-related requirements set forth by the State of Hawaii’s Safe Travels program. Safe Travels will no longer be a requirement as of March 26, 2022!
So what does this mean exactly? Domestic travelers will no longer have to show proof of a COVID-19 vaccination or a pre-travel negative test result upon arrival as of March 26. This update will make it much easier, and less stressful, for travelers wishing to vacation in Hawaii.
There has not been any change with the international entry requirements. International travelers traveling to Hawaii must meet the entry requirements set forth by the CDC. A negative COVID-19 test result 1 day prior to travel or documentation of recent recovery is currently required for travel to the United States.
Oahu has also announced the end of Safe Access O’ahu. Oahu is home to Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. Guests no longer need to show proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test to dine on property. The State of Hawaii still has a face covering requirement for all indoor locations. This requirement mandates Guests 2 and up must wear masks at all indoor locations, except when actively eating or drinking (while stationary) and maintaining appropriate physical distancing.
