The Resort
The Aulani Resort is located in Ko Olina, on the island of Oahu. Come with us while we take you on a tour of Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa. It's away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Waikiki making it an immersive location without the distractions. It is also steeped in Hawaiian culture from the time you prepare to enter the Lobby for the first time, all the way to the Ocean.
Lagoons at Ko Olina
Aulani sits on one of four Lagoons in Ko Olina. In the protected lagoon you can swim, snorkel, paddle board or simply float around. For guests at the this resort, there are beach chairs and umbrellas available to sit back and soak in the Hawaiian sun. Makiki Joe's has beach equipment for rent, including paddle board, kayaks, and snorkeling equipment. Towels are provided.

Pools at Aulani
There are three major pools at the Aulani. The Wailana pool for adults 18+ to get away and spend time alone. The Ka Maka Grotto is an infinty pool for all ages to enjoy the amazing views. The Waikolohe Pool is huge, with zero entry and 2 water slides! In addition, the Waikolohe Stream offers an lazy tubing experience through the tropical landscape. The pools have chairs, but they are on a first come, first serve basis. If you want to spend the day at the pool, I advise arriving early to get your spot! If you don't want to do that, you can reserve a Poolside Cabana for your family for an additional fee. Pool bands are required and are available to resort guests only.
Kids Only Pools
If the pools were not enough, Aulani offers the Keiki Cove Splash Zone and the Menehune Bridge for your kids to play.
Rainbow Reef
If snorkeling out the in big ocean is not your thing, well Disney has you covered. You can swim with the fish at the Rainbow Reef, which is a private snorkeling lagoon.

Standard Room: Sleeps 4 Guests - 2 Queens or 1 King and a queen pull out
1 Bedroom Suite: Sleeps 5 Guests - 1 King, 1 Queen pull out and a twin size pull down. 1 full and 1 half bath
2 Bedroom Suite: Sleeps 6 Guests - 1 King in Master, 1 queen and 1 queen sleeper in second bedroom with 3 full baths
Deluxe Studio: Sleeps 4 Guests - 1 queen and 1 queen pull out with a kitchenette
1 Bedroom Villa: Sleeps 5 Guests - 1 king in master, 1 queen pull out and 1 twin pull down, 1 bath and full kitchen
2 Bedroom Villa: Sleeps 9 Guests - 1 king in master, 2 queens in second bedroom, 1 queen pull out and a sleeper chair. 2 full baths and 1 half bath. Full Kitchen
3 Bedroom Grand Villa: Sleeps 12 Guests - 1 king in master, 2 queens in second bedroom, 2 queens in third bedroom, 1 queen pull out and 1 sleep chair. 3 Full baths and a full kitchen.
Restaurants at Aulani Resort
Character Dining at Makahiki
Makahiki offers both a Character breakfast and a Character dinner.
Aunty's Breakfast Celebration has both American and Asian foods available! The characters appear at set times, but work all the tables so you can get photos with your favorite characters like Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Goofy!
Menehune Mischief is the dinner character dining option at Makahiki. It's available on select nights only. We enjoyed the buffet style dining with a carving station, sushi and other island inspire options. The characters meeting guests that night were Donald Duck, Stitch, Chip and Dale.

Aulani Olelo Bar
'Ama 'Ama - Table Service
The modern island flavors and the beautiful scenery overlooking the Lagoon make for a perfect pairing for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant building blends together the old beach house with the new, showing the progression of family growth!
ULU Cafe - Quick Service
A quick-service type restaurant located poolside. It includes grab and go foods, hot meals and snacks. The pizza here is amazing and is available from 5:00 to 8:00. Ulu also has the refillable mug station with soda and coffee.
Off the Hook
Another great poolside location for sandwiches, apps, salads and cocktails. Also a great spot to watch the game.
Mama's Snack Stop and Papalu Shave Ice
Walk up windows at both location for that pool side meal or treat! Fish and chips, chicken tenders and even a PB&J! Desserts and Shave Ice are always welcome. On our tour of Aulani Resort, we got a Mickey shaped Shave Ice!

Wailana Pool Bar - Adult Only
Cocktails and lunch in a quiet adult-only setting. Open until 5:00pm.
Luau
KA WA‘A – A Luau at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. Experience Hawaiian history and culture during this 3 hour Luau. Your evening includes:
Temporary tattoos, taro pounding, flower arranging and other Hawaiian arts
Buffet dining including a carving station, local seafood, island flavors and of course, something for the kids
Luau performance that brings the story of Hawaii to life!
Spa & Fitness
On our tour of Aulani, we did not get to get a spa therapy treatment, but had a good guide to let us know what is available.
Spa Therapy - Massages, facials, herbal body and couple treatments available.
Kula Wai is an outdoor hydrotherapy garden that uses thermal and water therapies with a massage.
Pula Bar where you can create your own body polish with natural herbs and oils.
