The Walt Disney World Halloween Holiday Spirit

For those of us who love to celebrate Halloween at Walt Disney World, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is a MUST DO. It’s a family favorite for sure. So you may be asking yourself, "Will it still feel like fall and Halloween without a party?"

The short answer is "YES" of course!  Even though the beloved Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party won’t be an option this year due to COVID health & safety protocols, you can by all means enjoy some special tricks and treats as part of your fall Disney vacation.

Walt Disney World Halloween Fun

We don’t yet know what Walt Disney World has in store for Halloween this year but you can bet they will have a surprise or two in store. Here are a few ways to get into that holiday spirit at the Walt Disney World Resort in the meantime.

  • Food - Check out the park menus on My Disney Experience. Oftentimes the Quick Service restaurants will offer up some yummy seasonal treats. Don’t forget to use the mobile order option for your convenience.

  • Shops - Your place to find that special Halloween themed souvenir. Pins, clothing, toys, candy and decor. Who doesn’t want a Mickey Mouse Jack O'Lantern?

  • Clothing & Accessories - Many options here. Why not wear some Halloween Mickey ears or Halloween t-shirts as you tour the parks. Since face masks are currently required, why not get a few holiday themed options?

Halloween shopping

  •  Decorations - No party, no problem. Although there won’t be a special ticketed event I’m guessing  as you walk around the parks and resorts you see some Halloween theming added in.

  • Attractions - Haunted Mansion, Pirates of The Caribbean at Magic Kingdom, Tower of Terror at Hollywood Studios.

  • Characters - One word, Villains. Disney has done a great job with the new Cavalcades. I wouldn’t be surprised to see some of our favorite villains added to these pop up character processions...Ursula, Maleficent, The Evil Queen, Cruella DeVille  to name a few. I think this would be a great addition.

I personally cannot wait to see how Disney uses their magic touch and takes the opportunity to get us all in the Halloween holiday spirit this coming fall.
