Luckily, there are currently a total of 8 resorts.  Let’s take a look at the 4 Universal Orlando Resort categories!

Universal Orlando Resort Category: Value Resorts

The 2 resorts that fall into the Value Resorts category are:

  • Universal’s Endless Summer Resort – Dockside

  • Universal’s Endless Summer Resort – Surfside

These are the newest resorts on property and are sister resorts.  They each have multiple pools and a splashpad that is wonderful for the tiniest of adventurers.  Both resorts are in a separate area from the rest of Universal Orlando Resort and the only way to get to Universal CityWalk and the theme parks is via bus.  Both resorts have standard rooms as well as Family Suites.  The Family Suites are a great value and can fit up to 6 people making it a great economical choice for larger families!

Universal Orlando Resort Category: Prime Value Resorts

There are also 2 resorts that are in the Prime Value Resorts category.  They are:

  • Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort

  • Universal’s Aventura Hotel

These two cannot be more different from each other!  One is a hotel while the other is a resort with plenty of amenities – including a bowling alley.  Even though they are different, they do share some similarities.  Both have pools and are located closer to Universal  CityWalk and the theme parks.  In fact, guests staying at either of these resorts can easily walk to Volcano Bay!  Shuttle buses are offered to get to Universal CityWalk and the theme parks.

Universal Orlando Resort Category: Preferred Resort

Loews Sapphire Falls Resort is the only resort that is in the Preferred Resort category.  This resort is located closer to Universal CityWalk and the theme parks.  In fact, there is even a water taxi that can take guests there!

Universal Orlando Resort Category: Premier Resorts

There are 3 Premier Resorts at Universal Orlando Resort.  They are:

  • Loews Royal Pacific Resort

  • Hard Rock Hotel

  • Loews Portofino Bay Hotel
