What Is Super Nintendo World?
Super Nintendo World is an immersive land within Universal Studios Hollywood that takes fans into the world of Super Mario. This brand new land is located in the Lower Lot, just to the left of Transformers.
What Can I Do In Super Nintendo World?
There is so much to see and do in the brand-new Super Nintendo World! First and foremost, the land is an immersive experience. Visitors can purchase a Power-Up Band and use it within Super Nintendo World. The Power-Up Bands allow you to complete challenges, defeat Bowser Jr., collect digital coins, and much more!
Anyone who wishes to meet their favorite Super Nintendo characters will have their dream come true! Guests can meet and greet Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach.
Super Nintendo World also has a gift shop and a restaurant. At the 1-Up Factory Store, guests can purchase the perfect souvenir to remember their experience as well as Power-Up Bands. Toadstool Café is a brand-new quick-service restaurant that serves Super Mario-themed food. Here is where guests will be able to find dishes such as Super Mushroom Soup, the Mario Burger, and the ? Block Cupcake!
Of course, any brand-new land at a theme park would not be complete with a ride - and this one does not disappoint! Super Nintendo Land is home to Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge.
What Are My Options To Get Into Super Nintendo World?
The first step to being able to enjoy Super Nintendo World is to have a ticket to enter Universal Studios Hollywood. A reservation system is used to gain entry to Super Nintendo World but is only used depending on crowd conditions.
If the reservation system is not being used, guests are able to enter the land without an entry time reservation.
If the reservation system is being used, a reservation is required to be made using the Virtual Line reservation experience in the Universal Studios Hollywood app.
Guests can bypass the Virtual Line reservation system by purchasing either a Universal Express or VIP Experience. There is also Super Nintendo World Early Access Ticket that can be purchased. Guests who purchase this are able to access the new land one hour before the theme park opens.
How Do I Ride Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge?
Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge is a fun, interactive Augmented Reality (AR) dark ride. This ride does not offer an Express Access line so the only way to ride this is to use the Standby Line. To bypass the long wait, guests can also opt to purchase a VIP Experience. In fact, the only way to guarantee to be able to ride Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge is to purchase a VIP Experience.
